Antrim
is in Northern Ireland, my home town and is steeped in history.
A
famous battle called the 'Battle of Antrim' was fought in the centre of
the town in 1798.
Below
are a few of the many places in Antrim.
These
are Antrim Castle's walls during an renactment of the battle in the centre
of the town.
Here
you can see the 'Barbican Gate' built in 1818, this was the main entrance
to Antrim Castle.
This
round tower ( known locally as the Steeple) was once part of an early Monastery.
