We loved Tunisa, the resort we stayed in was called Mahdia. The hotel was right on the beach and at night we used to stroll down through the local areas. The people were so friendly and we walked through the alleyways to see how the local people lived and we did not feel threatened at anytime. The temp was 40 cel.
