This
was our bedroom, as you can see it had two king size beds. To the left of
the photo was a veranda with a table and four chairs. In the background is
the turret section with a table and four chairs and the shutters open out
looking over the sea.
A
view of the swiming pool and the steps leading down to a private beach with
no beach hawkers, total bliss !
The
photo below where taken at the Hotel Gran Bahia at Samana, it is at the Northeast
corner of the island. We stayed here for a couple of days, we would have loved
to have stayed longer, in the afternoon they served tea, coffee and biscuits
around the pool and thermos flasks of cold water were left in your bedroom
every day.
This
was a brilliant hotel, our room was the turret on the right of the picture.
This
was inside the hotel looking down to the reception area.
This
is the turret section of our bedroom.
This
is part of the main foyer where he played during the day and evening until
a local group would come out.
This
beach was on the island Cayo Levantado and was owned by the hotel and it had
a restaurant for the all inclusive. The island was about 800 metres from the
hotel and they had boats going to it all day. The beach was fine white coral
and the water a dream to snorkel in. The island was where they did all the
Barcardi adverts.
